A Magical Day with Melinda and Mark at Cabra Castle
I recently had the honor of filming Melinda and Mark’s beautiful wedding at the enchanting Cabra Castle in Kingscourt, Co. Monaghan. From the start, it was clear that their day would be filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments.
Preparation at Her Parents’ House
The day began in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Melinda’s parents’ house. The air was buzzing with excitement as Melinda and her bridesmaids prepared for the big day. I captured every special detail, from the delicate application of makeup to the intricate design of her wedding dress. The bridesmaids, dressed in stunning outfits, added to the vibrant energy of the morning. Each moment was a testament to the love and anticipation that filled the room.
A Heartfelt Ceremony at The Mullaghea Church
Following the preparations, we made our way to The Mullaghea Church, near Kells, where Melinda and Mark exchanged their vows. The church, with its historic charm, provided a perfect backdrop for their heartfelt ceremony. As they exchanged rings, surrounded by their loved ones, the emotion in the air was palpable. It was a beautiful moment that I was privileged to capture on film.
Celebrations at Cabra Castle
After the ceremony, we all headed to the magnificent Cabra Castle to continue the celebrations. The castle, with its stunning architecture and expansive grounds, offered endless opportunities for breathtaking footage. The photographer and I took Melinda and Mark out for a few pictures, with the majestic castle as a backdrop. I also used my drone to capture the couple walking along the castle grounds, showcasing the venue’s grandeur from a unique perspective.
Candid Moments at the Reception
Once the formal photos and videos were taken, it was time to capture the candid moments of the reception. The guests enjoyed a selection of teas, coffees, and delicious cakes crafted by the castle’s talented chefs. There was also no shortage of beer and champagne, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. I made sure to document these relaxed and joyful moments, as friends and family mingled and enjoyed each other’s company.
An Unforgettable First Dance
As the evening progressed, the sound of a bell signaled the guests to move to the grand ballroom for the evening’s events. The speeches were heartfelt, filled with stories and laughter that painted a picture of the couple’s journey together. But the highlight of the night was undoubtedly Melinda and Mark’s first dance. They had prepared for it so well that everyone was left in awe. To capture this magical moment, I set up multiple cameras, including a 360 camera that created a stunning drone-like effect on the dance floor.
A Day to Remember
From morning preparations to the last dance, Melinda and Mark’s wedding was a truly spectacular event. I am so grateful they chose me as their wedding videographer, as I genuinely enjoyed every moment of their special day. It was a wedding that I will remember for years to come, and I’m thrilled to have been a part of it.
